As a powerful noble of Hell, Deumus commanded an iron fortress on the plane of Avernus. He was defeated by a celestial army led by the empyreal lord Ragathiel, who burned his fortress to the ground with holy fire. Although maimed and humiliated, Deumus nevertheless survived the encounter.[1]
