The Ironsoots are a century-old secret trade union of Ironworks employees and smiths in Korvosa. Its leader Baris Trenchlow hails from Magnimar and seeks legal recognition of the union, which is prohibited by the city's charter, and believes a riot is the most effective means of forcing change. Most of their recent recruiting takes place in taverns near the Ironworks and Shingles.[1]
