Orkatto's Feathers and Fur caters to those nouveau riche of Korvosa who have a taste for exotic pets. The unique store is located in the newer South Shore district of the Varisian city. The store is a strange wonderland of exotic animals, from caged songbirds to gem-hued snakes, all the way up to dream spiders which are valued by Orkatto's more shady clientele for their venom, which can be refined into a powerful drug called shiver. The store's owner, Orkatto, served as a well-respected master of the hunt to a powerful lord in the nearby city of Magnimar, before finally saving enough money to open his own namesake store.
