Rougarous are a race of wolf-like humanoids capable of transforming into wolves.1[citation needed]

Appearance

A rougarou is a muscular, wolf-headed humanoid covered in brown and gray fur. Rougarous tend to be slightly taller and heavier than typical humans.1[citation needed]

Society

Rougarous are not numerous or widespread, and tend to live in secluded, strict communities in their wetland homelands. They are civilised, loyal and very protective of their families and friends. While they are easily mistaken as werewolves, rougarous are not werecreatures and despise werewolves.1[citation needed]

Evil rougarous occasionally form into packs that prey upon the countryside. They are despised by the rest of their race at large, who eagerly hunt them down to punish them for their foul deeds.1[citation needed]

Language

Usually able to speak in Common to those outside their community, rougarous use their own racial language, also called Rougarou, to communicate amongst themselves.1[citation needed]

On Golarion

Rougarous are common in parts of the continent of Arcadia.23
