Wyvarans are the result of magical cross-breeding between wyverns and kobolds.[1]

Appearance

Wyvarans are dragons that resemble humanoids with a draconic tail, wings, and fangs.[1]

Society

Wyvarans are territorial and tribal, protective of their wealth and allow no interlopers into their lands without good reason or proper tribute. Many civilised races dismiss wyvarans as fast, selfish brutes, but they make steadfast and loyal allies to those who respect their property laws. Wyvarans are protective of companions, considering them to be clutch mates.[1]

On Golarion

On Golarion, wyvarans are native to the Shattered Range in Garund[2] and and populous on the continent.[3] Their territory briefly expanded in the early Age of Darkness when the elves left Golarion and the humans declined, and from this period many wyvarans have hidden caches of Azlanti and Shory relics across northern Garund. As Osirion reclaimed more lands, the wyvarans were forced back to their ancestral home. A declining population of wyvarans remain, demanding tribute from the rare caravans that travel through Vangeline Pass from Geb to the Mwangi Expanse. Young wyvarans sometimes travel to Alkenstar, Nex, Katapesh, and beyond to seek their fortunes.[2]
