Fauna of Katapesh
From PathfinderWiki
The fauna of Katapesh includes several unique species, such as the antelope-like calopi, leopard-spotted camelopards, venomous dhabbas, scavenging geiers, and lycanthropic jackalweres.[1]
- Calopus
- The calopus is native to Katapesh and resembles an antelope. Calopi are four-legged creatures standing 3 to 4 feet tall and weighing up to 200 pounds. Two spiralling ivory horns extend back from their skulls. They are prized for their tender meat and their horns.[2]
- Camelopard
- Dhabba
- Geier
- Jackalwere
- While lycanthropes are humanoids that transform into animals, jackalweres are jackals that transform into humanoids. Packs of jackalweres thrive in Katapesh alongside ordinary jackals. There are stories of jackalweres disguising themselves as human travelers to join caravans, only to find an opportunity for the pack to ruin the caravan.[3]
