Dimetrodon

The dimetrodon is a squat quadrupedal reptile that often lives in regions inhabited by dinosaurs. It resembles a crocodile with a blunter snout filled with jagged, sharp teeth. Its most distinguishing feature is the massive sail on its back that allows it to control its body temperature. A fully grown adult dimetrodon can reach a length of up to 15 feet and weigh upward of 2,000 pounds.1[citation needed]
On Golarion
Dimetrodons were one of several dinosaur-related species raised by serpentfolk followers of Ydersius for use as mounts.2
On distant worlds
Dimetrodons were among the specimens collected from the planet Castrovel by the Androffan spaceship Divinity before it crashed into Golarion during the Rain of Stars. The creatures were kept in a stasis lab in Habitat Pod 1 as part of a larger collection of Castrovelian life forms.3
