The compsognathus is a tiny, carnivorous dinosaur that somewhat resembles a bird with a snake-like neck and head. It moves swiftly on powerful legs and is an accomplished swimmer.

They hunt in packs of up to 20, and employ venomous bites that weaken their victims.

A typical specimen is 3 feet long, including its tail, and weighs 15 pounds.
