Trunau's palisade
Trunau's palisade surrounds the lower part of the small town of Trunau in the Hold of Belkzen. It is a deadly and lasting construction made of ten-foot-high tree trunks, fitted tightly, their tops sharpened and their bases driven another five feet into the earth. The bottom half of the palisade is encased in a rough and sturdy stone wall. Trenches filled with smaller spikes create a deadly briar patch and incorporated into the palisade are many rock outcroppings forming the bases for wooden watchtowers. Trunau's palisade is the most immediately recognizable feature of the town.1
