Velasco Cueto is a muscle wizard who roams the Mana Wastes. Formerly a simple bodyguard, Velasco came to realise the value of combining magical prowess with physical might. At some point in his career, he chose to walk the Mana Wastes to avoid becoming overly reliant on magic.

Over time his reputation as a master of hybrid wrestle-magic combat caused many mages to seek him out for instruction. Now Velasco has gathered a loyal following who work to prove themselves to him. This following, who are often mistaken for monks, also eschews the use of mana vials.

Velasco will, for the right price, offer aid to any parties he comes across, although he remains unsmiling and short with most, especially if they are in the company of an iruxi or calikang.

Velasco challenges Kalyan Chauhaury to a fight to the death on sight, although the reason for this apparent animosity is unknown.
