Rifza Dilatru was an investigator who believed in a supernatural link connecting mass murderers, which he called "the pattern". He died on Chopper's Isle near Sandpoint while researching the case of Jervis Stoot, who became known as Chopper after a mass killing spree.1

Background

Dilatru was a student of history and philosophy at the University of Korvosa.

Possessions

Dilatru left behind several books and a journal of notes for an article titled "The Pattern of Killers", which detailed the theories behind killers such as the Mosswater Marauder, the Temple Hill Slasher, the Splatter Man, and the Key-Lock Killer.2
