Sephorian Archipelago

The Sephorian Archipelago consists of several hundred islands located near the southern ice cap of Triaxus, south of the Allied Territories. The sea between them is remarkably gentle, and residents of the various island communities regularly travel between them by canoe in summer and by walking on ice floes in winter to trade, but maintain their own cultures. On some islands, mysterious cylindrical towers periodically exhale smoke, and are considered taboo (except as navigational aids) by residents. For some forgotten or unexplained reason, many fertile islands are left fallow.
