OK I'm bored now of changing this every month - is it Faras or Fares? Yoda, you keep loading it up as Faras; the page for the artist is Jorge Fares, as is the category page: Category:Artwork by Jorge Fares. Which is it? Help!!! Then we can make all consistent please. --Fleanetha (talk) 17:22, 29 April 2015 (UTC)

There are two possibilities: Dynamite is either crediting the same person two different ways across their various solicitations and credits pages, or there are in fact two different illustrators with annoyingly similar names. When I upload images and credit the artist, I normally do so using the name included in the official solicitation on DE's website. I rarely go back and check that the names and credits match the final issue, if there is any discrepancy. Since we're going solely on information Dynamite is providing us through public channels, I don't know if we'll ever fully resolve the issue to your satisfaction.—Paizo Publishing, LLC.png Yoda8myhead (talk) 19:21, 29 April 2015 (UTC)
we could call him Bob? --Fleanetha (talk)
So thanks for the info Yoda - very interesting and looking at the comics Faras is clearly printed in the comics. I'll look into this a little more and see if we can get it right consistently. My best guess as to what to do currently is to ensure this wiki is consistent with what was printed in the books / comics. --Fleanetha (talk) 09:41, 1 May 2015 (UTC)
Quick update - Dynamite website definitely has Faras. The comics and the Dynamite feed seem to be consistent that for Origins it is Faras and for the Pathfnder series it is Fares - it may be 2 artists but we are now consistent with the publisher. --Fleanetha (talk) 11:27, 1 May 2015 (UTC)
so have now been through all the art under Fares/Faras and the wiki is now consistent with Paizo and Dynamite's published identity of the authors. Fares' signature appears on a number of pieces and if you zoom in it looks a lot more like a capital 'E' than an 'a'. I don't think we can do more than this now. I'll try to check the final published version against the publisher's tag on any artwork you upload Yoda in future. --Fleanetha (talk) 12:02, 1 May 2015 (UTC)
On his deviantArt page, he signs his name Fares. Marvel credits him as Jorge Fares Maese Ramirez. Image credits him as Jorge Fares. Paizo credits him as Jorge Fares in We Be Goblins Too!, Inner Sea Gods, the NPC Codex, The Worldwound, etc. —Oznogon (talk) 03:37, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
His Facebook profile, he goes by both Fares Maese and Jorge Maese. (In fact, we have a separate artist page for Jorge Maese, who's probably the same person.) He has an Artstation page, faresmaese.artstation.com, with a resume where he goes by Fares Maese. On his G+ page and YouTube channel, he goes by Jorge Fares. He has a one-and-done Blogspot blog where he goes by Fares Maese and signs his name as Fares. —Oznogon (talk) 04:07, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
Some good research and wider than I went - thanks. So I'd say this definitely means we have two pages that need merging: Jorge Maese & Jorge Fares. We might want to move both of them to his fuller name: Jorge Fares Maese Ramirez? Does anyone understand the way Spanish names are constructed - for instance, do we have maternal and paternal family names here or just middle Christian names like an English name construct? Unfortunately I could not see a Faras-labelled image on any of these web sites so, as Yoda suggested, there still is a possibility that Faras is not Jorge Fares Maese Ramirez. I don't know whether Yoda could ask the Paizo art team for clarification as they have definitely solicited Fares many times? I shall drop a question at Paizo boards anyway (though I'll have to think about where to place it as there are so many comic pages). We could also drop a note at one of his many social media areas but most look untouched since 2011/2012? --Fleanetha (talk) 09:03, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
OK have raised a question here. --Fleanetha (talk) 09:23, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
