Talk:Westcrown Dottari

Cleanup

Currently the article feels more like a repository of information than a cohesive article with a beginning, middle, and end. All the information here is great, it's just presented very haphazardly. -- yoda8myhead 15:33, October 7, 2009 (UTC)

Better a native speaker to undertake the task. :) --Dmeta 10:44, October 8, 2009 (UTC)

Structure

This page includes also the definitions for "condottari", "rundottari", "regidottari", "duxotar", "durotas". I think it is better this way. Do you agree or you prefer to create pages for the other definitions ? If you agree I will turn all references of the other definitions to this page.--Dmeta 10:40, October 8, 2009 (UTC)

Each of these definitions should appear in a clear definitions list and anchors should be placed on each one so that someone on another page can directly link to them here. We might even set up redirect pages for each definition to make direct linking easier. In any case, I agree that these definitions should appear on this page and not on pages of their own, as each definition would only warrant a few sentences at the most. -- yoda8myhead 13:10, October 8, 2009 (UTC)

Dottari as a general term

It looks like Kintargo's guard is also called a dottari. Do we want to move this to Dottari (Westcrown) and make this a more general page about Chelish law enforcement? Or maybe document each dottari as a subsection of this page? -Oznogon (talk) 23:56, 27 August 2015 (UTC)

Agreed - we'll also need to change Category:Dottari too accordingly. I suggest a Dottari page to cover generic law enforcement / policing in Cheliax pointing at the regional forces and Category:Dottari can pull together the various constabularies. --Fleanetha (talk) 12:03, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
Plus noting we have artwork for these pages eventually: File:Kintargan dottari.jpg --Fleanetha (talk) 13:13, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
Further confirmation in Heroes of the Streets, p16: "The dottari (Chelish city guard) of Westcrown". -Oznogon (talk) 04:38, 17 September 2015 (UTC)
Maybe more clarity but the org and page should be termed Westcrown Dottari. --Fleanetha (talk) 05:26, 17 October 2015 (UTC)
So effected a move and I've cleaned up links plus stubbed a dottari page for now. --Fleanetha (talk) 05:29, 17 October 2015 (UTC)
