Boots of the mire are constructed to give the wearer increased comfort and provide some protection in swamp-like environments. In this terrain the wearer is able to walk on water as long as the water's depth does not exceed five feet, and does not leave tracks. Additionally, he or she is not discomforted by any precipitation or fog and has an increased resistance versus disease and poisons.[1]
