Origin

The raktavarnas' origin in Bestiary 3 (failed rakshasas reincarnated into a lower form) differs from their 3.5 description in Pathfinder 9, Escape from Old Korvosa (souls of giant snakes turned into weapons by rakshasas). The hardcover Curse of the Crimson Throne book does not include the 3.5 AP's bestiary entry and only points to Bestiary 3, but the only raktavarna character still takes the form of a weapon. The only non-Bestiary canon source is outdated and inconsistent, and there doesn't appear to be a 2E equivalent yet. -Oznogon (talk) 10:26, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
