Sunken pistols are intelligent guns consumed by the greed and regret of their previous owners, a pirate who was drowned at sea. The guns' personality drives their wielders to hoard treasure, especially its previous owner's, regardless of the danger involved. It also punishes charitable acts or unwillingness to seek treasure.

Shots fired from a sunken pistol are coated in ectoplasm, and it can be fired underwater even if its ammunition would not typically allow for it.
