Stoneplate

A dwarf in stoneplate armor.

Stoneplate armor is crafted by dwarven stonesmiths using alchemically strengthened pieces of shale and basalt rocks.¹ Stoneplate is very heavy, weighing about 75 pounds,² but is unequivocally the most protection a wearer can receive from mundane armor.¹

On Golarion

The Ninth Battalion crafts especially bulky magical stoneplate armor known as tunnel defender stoneplate.³

Armorers inspired by the Harrow might craft man mountain armor, oversized stoneplate armor that quakes the earth when struck.⁴
