Stanislaw Balk is a bureaucrat responsible for monitoring the army's storage silos in the town of Redtooth, provincial capital of the Irriseni province known as the Verge. He often complains to Duke Arvanoff of frost giants and ice trolls breaking into the stores as they rarely care to deal with the books and rationing.1
