Sikhyeu Rainforest

From PathfinderWiki

The Sikhyeu Rainforest covers much of the sorcerous kingdom of Tang Mai in the south of Tian Xia. The rainforest is criss-crossed by numerous rivers, canals, and aqueducts, the latter created by the sorcerer kings of old, which are the lifeblood of civilisation within.

Beyond the four provincial capitals, most settlements within the Sikhyeu Rainforest are smaller villages and hamlets that sit strung along the waterways, each ruled by a local baron who is responsible for both taxes and keeping the peace. Beyond these settlements, the Sikhyeu Rainforest is still a near-pristine wilderness filled with rare species of birds, flowers, spices, and numerous other animals of high value to alchemists and healers. Beyond the wildlife, the jungles are also dotted with awe-inspiring temples devoted to strange, long-forgotten gods. These ruins remain a mystery to scholars as the pictographs that cover them are totally resistant to translation, including the use of powerful divination magic. These ruins draw adventurers in search of the riches rumoured to be hidden within, but these adventurers also often scour the jungle depths for new species and undiscovered resources that fetch astronomical prices on the open market. Deep in the jungle, away from any settlements, hermit-like witches reside, called maemas.1 A known-expert on the area is Pathfinder Old Pak.2

Hao Jin Tapestry

The sorcerer Hao Jin transported a region of low-lying mountains from the Sikhyeu Rainforest into her demiplane artefact, the Hao Jin Tapestry often explored by the Pathfinder Society. The settlement of Naldak's Point was also transported into the rainforest's area of the demiplane from its original location in today's Irrisen.3
