Shriezyx
Originally created using fleshwarping1 by one of the runelords of ancient Thassilon, shriezyx2 are eight-legged terrors that continue to exist throughout western Varisia, lurking underground and in Thassilonian ruins.3

The Eyes of the Hawk
The Eyes of the Hawk adventuring group famously defended Magnimar from shriezyx freed from the Irespan in 4623 AR.4
Thulgroon
While waiting out the consequences of Earthfall in the Darklands, the veiled master Thulgroon allied with the shriezyx. This alliance is borne of mutual benefit, as the arachnids are totally immune to Thulgroon's powerful ability to manipulate minds. Thulgroon's most powerful and closest shriezyx ally is Akorsavatha, a mesmerist.1
