The Rasping Rifts is the Abyssal realm of the demon lord Deskari and is full of insectoid monstrosities. There were many direct routes from the Rasping Rifts to the former Worldwound on Golarion, where Deskari's influence was most perniciously felt.

Deskari ruled from within a ruined city inundated by a lake of agonized shades. Those not devoured by Deskari or his servitors slowly transformed into hive-mind vermin that populate the Rasping Rifts.
