Qidel, Aerie of the Sun is a narrow stone spire rising from the centre of sun-baked Fullbright in Verces. At its top is a temple-like roost, home to mysterious, violent, steel, avian creatures known only as the bird-men of Qidel, and their humanoid overlords wearing artificial wings. These creatures prey upon the nearby tribes, raiding livestock and abducting young people, and are believed to be rogue Augmented who abandoned civilisation, but this hypothesis cannot be confirmed. Divination scans show that the spire might be a hollow tube that drops underground to an unknown depth.
