Mongrel giants are true giants who possess physical traits associated with a giant species other than that of their parents. The reason why is a mystery, particularly because different giant species can never crossbreed; it is speculated that all giants originally had a common ancestor (which every giant species argues to resemble themselves and the others are their descendants), so such throwbacks naturally appear. Hill giants are the most common parents of mongrel giants, but their traits never appear among mongrel giants born to others.[1]
