Merenfren

Merenfren was a highly prized royal physician of Osirian descent who lived in Osirion during the period of Keleshite sultans. She discovered a drug made from a previously unknown black, tar-like substance and used it to treat ailments and revitalize her wealthy customers. She named her drug mumia and managed to keep its main substance secret until 2271 AR when a rival scholar discovered that the key ingredient of Merenfren's drug was the flesh of carefully preserved corpses excavated from Osirian tombs. Merenfren was executed after a short trial because she desecrated the dead and tricked her noble patients into consuming the vile substance.¹
