Maxevale Janis is the pirate lord of the Rapier Bay, a rowdy small town on Motaku Isle in the Shackles. He is captain of the galleon Motaku Maiden. He has led Rapier Bay since the death of his predecessor in 4706 AR. Maxevale always supports Lady Tessa in the Pirate Council, earning the nickname "the Puppy", though no man dares to say it to his face.
