Kaurata is one of the many mahajanapadas that make up the storied region of the Cradle in central Vudra. Kaurata is probably most well known for its centuries-long feud with its rival, the mahajanapada of Pandata. As the Cradle is home to farmland much too valuable to be damaged by the devastation of war, the two mahajanapadas instead fight across the Plains of Conflict, a vast abandoned region specifically set aside for armies to wage war over. The hostility between Kaurata and Pandata has already been ongoing for centuries and shows no signs of abating any time soon.[1]
