New Oppara (pronounced new oh-pa-ra) is the capital of the nation of Linvarre, formerly the Taldan colony of Amanandar, on the continent of Tian Xia. It was rechristened in 7108 IC (4608 AR) by its colonial founder, General Orphyrea Amanandar, who defeated the local warlords who had previously controlled it. Its original Tien name was Kamikobu.

Positioned near the Ilushe River and bathed in its mists, New Oppara features architecture blended between Tian and Taldane styles. The city also includes the Raocado Market of hawkers and the Ocallio Institute of magical practice.
