The nuckelavee Kahak is a horrid fey who has wandered Nidal for decades. He met Maddy Whorlwalker a few years ago and became her unlikely companion. The pair has spent many moonlit evenings racing along the Usk River, capturing and killing travelers. In the area they have been known as the White Riders.

In 4715 AR, Maddy and Kahak discovered the underwater entrance to the Cairn of Attai Horse-Speaker and invaded the tomb. Kahak became infatuated with the statue of Eketeya Blackspear and believes that the statue represents a nuckelavee goddess.
