Joheane is the leader of a cadre of fey in the First World who believe that modern contrivances (like cities) are evil and unnatural. From his fortress of Lastglen, he guards the nature preserve dubbed the Wild Garden from those that represent this evil, including most visitors from the Material Plane. Although the Eldest have been reluctant to challenge him, terrorists have been instigating trouble in his name in various First World cities, whose authorities would want to employ unaffiliated adventurers who could take care of the problem while allowing them to maintain plausible deniability.
