Hungry Sea

From PathfinderWiki

The Hungry Sea is the name given to a vast pocket of dead air—heavy air that is hard to move through and impossible to breathe—that lurks within the depths of the Plane of Air.1

Located near one of the plane's many trade routes, the borders of the Hungry Sea fluctuate, ebbing and flowing like a tide. The Hungry Sea often captures unwary airships and other travellers that mistakenly venture too close, dragging them deeper into its depths as the Hungry Sea's borders eventually recede. Those who have to venture near the Hungry Sea often employ local air elementals as guides, using them to sense the dead air.1

It is rumoured that at the heart of the Hungry Sea lie countless entrapped ships filled with lost treasure. Still, due to its deadly nature, few treasure hunters are willing to try to loot this hidden fortune.1
