Halls of Reason

The Halls of Reason are the largest hidden conclave of the Contemplatives of Ashok, located near the equator of Akiton. Within this vast compound of squared-off, windowless stone towers and cubes, hundreds of Contemplatives magically float on air cushions, communicating with keening songs or telepathy and occasionally linking together. The Contemplatives sometimes admit others in, and treat their guests politely, but most eventually find them too unnerving to be around. Within the Halls of Reason is one of the Contemplatives' greatest works, a permanent portal to Golarion. When contact with Golarion was deemed too dangerous, the portal was locked, but its anchor on the Golarion side remains, now known as the Doorway to the Red Star.
