Gravid Mound

The Gravid Mound is an egg-shaped mountain on Aucturn, which first expands outward and then narrows again. At its top is a wide caldera, which constantly overflows with a black goo in which quivering meat chunks float. South of the Gravid Mound, protected by a wide moat, stands the Tower of the Midwives. The thirteen Midwives believe that the Gravid Mound is the womb containing Aucturn's unborn child, and when it hatches, they plan to be present to control it, or be the first to worship it.
