Emperor Fane II of Cheliax was the son of Halleck IV and reigned in the mid-45th century AR. Upon his father's death in 4437 AR, he is said to have fired all of his father's old advisors (including Volshyenek Ornelos), and replaced them with sycophants and yes-men.¹
