City guard squadrons are the front line of defense in many of the communities throughout Golarion. While city guards are more likely to be seen in smaller groups, such as pairs of guards on patrol, when larger issues threaten the city physically, a squadron may be formed. These groups are often commanded by a single captain who does the talking for the group and issues specific orders to the squadron's members.1
Tactics
City guard squadrons are particularly effective at tracking their target through narrow city streets and alleyways. These troops commonly wield inexpensive polearms and crossbows to fire volleys of bolts or charge opponents.1
