Bhudrek Atoll

Bhudrek Atoll is a coral island in the Shackles that encircles a strange lagoon. At the center of the lagoon lies a submerged artifact that fell from the sky many years ago. It is said that the mysterious artifact has warped the wildlife and the vegetation of the atoll, creating terrible mutants. A number of botanists and zoologists who returned from the island have been transformed into mindless, twisted horrors, eventually killed by authorities.¹
