Barkek Open-Hand was a friend of the ancient Nidalese horselord Attai Horse-Speaker and a diplomatic shaman of Attai's tribe. He was laid to rest in a chamber of Cairn of Attai Horse-Speaker. A mural in his chamber depicts a large man with a broad friendly face asking warriors to lay down their weapons.^[1]
