Ambithas is a gate archon who has been guarding a secret portal from the Palakar Forest in Druma to Hell since 4689 AR, the date it was activated. Prior to that, he wandered the Material Plane to study arcane magic. He initially tried to close the portal, but failed and resorted to protecting it. He works with the local fey to hide it from travellers, explaining the threat posed by the devils were they to have free access to the forest.
