Pathfinder savants are specialists in both the practice and the theory of magic, and scour Golarion searching for magical devices and ancient lore. They are not only formidable spellcasters, but also masters of magical devices, scrolls, glyphs, and other magic items. Savants can easily use strange magical devices, identifying such items with incredible speed, use spells normally completely unavailable to them, manipulate sigil and language magic and most impressively become masters of counter spelling.[1]
