Darkreach

The settlement of Darkreach was established on the Vanji River around 30 years ago. It was intended to serve as a trading post between the mines of the Bandu Hills and the markets of Bloodcove in the Mwangi Expanse and of western Sargava.

At first it thrived - only to be razed to the ground by forces unknown. The people vanished, and all that was left of the buildings was the charred outline of the foundations. No natural fire cuts buildings off smoothly at ground level, and leaves no ash behind.

Some suspect the Aspis Consortium of wiping out a competitor; others wonder if the diamond miners had taken action against the tariffs charged on river traffic.
